Re: I Need Help With Angular Cheilitis

Hi luvinya... in those cases that you note as precursors did either your dentist of family physician prescribe antiobiotics?

Antiobiotics are great for killing bacteria... but unfortunately they are not always selective in the bacteria they attack. Antiobiotics may also attack the "good" bacteria... and this good bacteria can compete with fungi for a place to grow. Without it, the fungi has free reign.

I recall one time I had the worst thrush of my life after taking a good course of Antibiotics for strep. Anyhow... this may be contributing to the problem. If there is a correlation you may want to mention this to your doctor.
