I just got back from an Oral Pathologist. I told him my frustrations with the normal course of care for AC (the anti-fungals, the dish soap/vaseline, B and Iron Vitamins, etc. etc.). He said that my young age, good health, and futility with other treatments likely preclude a yeast/candidia/bacterial infection. It was his diagnosis that I have Celiac Sprue, or a Gluten Hypersensitivity. Upon further research I realized a lot of people seem to have complications from Angular Cheilitis that was in fact caused by Celiac Sprue. Unfortunately I have to go on a Gluten free diet (which will suck). However, if the Gluten free diet works, it may provide another answer to others who have had trouble with the traditional course of care for AC. In two weeks time I will know if this is the case.
