Hello, I've read this article by Bee Wilder, saying kefir is not beneficial when there is a candida overgrowth. What do you think about it?

Thank you and happy New Year!
How cool you're making your own kefir. So am I. How much milk kefir are you drinking daily? I drink about 1/2 cup.
I have also noticed a tad more acne, but not sure if it's the milk kefir or something else. I've always been prone to acne, but now at age 58 and well past menopause, it's becoming very annoying having zits!
I am waiting on the water kefir grains now which I ordered last week. I also make kombucha which I really enjoy as well. I try to rotate the milk kefir and kombucha so I'm not getting too much of one or the other. Once I get the water kefir going, I'll be adding that to the rotation.
I look forward to HV's input on all this!
Sometimes rapid detoxification will cause more garbage to get dumped in to the bloodstream from the liver an fat cells. Some of this gets eliminated through the skin where is reacts with the bacteria leading to acne. Remember to drink plenty of water to facilitate the removal of the toxins and again zinc is great for acne.
There are at least thirty separate organisms typically found in kefir grains. And, yes, yeasts generally can not ferment (breakdown) glactose. BUT several strains of Streptococcus bateria can ferment glactose. And, (drumroll).......Streptococcus Latis and Streptococcus Cremoris are typically found in kefir grains. To me, kefir grains are a true miracle of nature. It's astounding that thirty to forty mico-organisms can live together in a symbiotic colony.
If you really want to know how many teeth a horse has you're going to open his mouth and start counting. Just BSting about it doesn't get the job done. If you really want to know if there is glactose in kefir made from real kefir grains you have MEASURE it. Merely specultating doesn't cut it.
Yes, excellent post. Here is more on the elimination of galactose from kefir:

I make my own milk and water kefirs, with real grains.
But if you read the article, she speaks about the fact that lactose is tranformed to another sugar, galactose (at least in the milk kefir), wich is feeding the candida.
First of all lactose is fermented in to lactic acid. I have not seen any evidence that it gets converted in to galactose, which is produced by the fermentation of fibers.
And again, the body generates sugar (glucose) from many sources including proteins and fats. So restricting sugar intake is not going to make much of a difference.
When I drink the milk kefir, my scalp and face starts itching (seb derm flare), but I don't know if it is die-off or if I'm worsening my symptoms... It is good to help me go to the bathroom, since I'm very constipated (IBS), so... I've a lot of acne in my back since drinking kefir also.
Have you tried zinc for your acne? Zinc also helps to control Candida.
I love Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion! It used to do a very good job of softening and soothing my dry, itchy skin. Actually, I used to get very dry, itchy skin on my hands around the fall and sometimes in the winter, for years. And now, I get very dry, itchy skin on my hands in the spring and summer! And, unfortunately, the Aveeno doesn't work quite as well, anymore. :-( I used to put it on before bed and by morning, my hands were plump and moist and ready to go. Quả óc chó
It even helped me sleep, it really is calming! Knocked me out! It's just not the same for me, anymore. I was hoping someone might know of something that could help my dry, itchy skin. Preferably unscented, but if it smells like cucumbers, I'm not against it, either! Please let me know -- it's really getting on my nerves! Thanks in advance!
I use raw milk for moisturizing my skin. It's an amazing thing that will not just remove the tanning on your skin but also act as a deep moisturizer. A lot of india house hold women use raw milk for removing tanning from their skin. Even, my wife also uses this trick. I got to know from her that raw milk does this miracle. My skin become tan easily, so she told me once to use raw milk.
Hi All,
I hope this doesn't seem dumb but I've had Ramiel Nagel's Cure Tooth Decay for sometime but have had a frustrating time working with it. Reason Being - Where is the protocol listed as a daily regiment I can follow? I need it on 1-2 pages to know what to do everyday. Did I miss this? Has someone created this?
Thanks for any help!
