I came down with Angluar Cheilitis after a 6 week course of Antibiotics for a serious sinus infection. At first I thought it was just chapped lips but found chapstick just made it worse. I then tried neosporin for the little cuts-not much happened there...soothed the skin a bit but didnt heal. I then stumbled upon this site and the secret "cure" revealed. I thought it was a bit odd but tried it. It worked great! Within 24 hours it looked 100% better and within 48 virtually gone. By the time I went to see my dr. she could barely see any trace...she gave me a tube of prescription Nystatin (about $4.00) as a backup but I didnt need it. Kept up with the regiment for a few more days even though I couldnt see the marks any more just to be sure. Just keep your hands clean and dont double dip in the vaseline jar! It is a yeast based infection and you dont want to keep contaminating yourself. Maybe get a new toothbrush and keep that clean as well. If the cure doesnt help there are certainly medical routes to take-there is even a nytatin mouth rinse that helps in conjuction with the cream. Thanks for all the posts-they were really helpful to read! Also, if your dr. doesnt know what this is-talk to someone else.
