I too get them with lesions and dry skin areas. My lips are loaded with them and I am constantly picking pieces of them out of my mouth. I have been embarrassed to say anything and know docs will be skeptical. They're white and sometimes when I pull a few out with tweezers one will fall and latch quickly on to another spot. When this happens and I try to grab again it's hard to get it, apparently whatever the hell they are have anchors. Please someone respond if they have a clue as to what I should do. I am in Massachusetts and haven't been anywhere tropical so no idea what this is! ~Peace~
