Re: Leaky gut/candida/anxiety/adrenals; LOST, need help...
Hi everyone who's replied and read this message; hopefully this post shows up in the right place.
I'm feeling better in some ways. The skin reactions have minimized a great deal, and I don't look like I did in those pictures after I shower!
Things I've done so far:
-Quercetin daily
-Molybdenum
-Watercress
-Probiotics
-Digestive Bitters (Yummy! I've come to like them!)
-B5/Vit. C/B-Complex (tried nutritional yeast but it made me itchy again)
-Still some Betaine HCl and Digestive Enzymes
-Herbal (fairly gentle) liver and kidney flushes
-Cellulose Fiber Powder (I'm not finding it too harsh and things are coming along with, ahem, good regularity)
-Started taking Seacure; no adverse reactions I've noted, and I feel it's helping with the gut issues
-I finished another bottle of Aloe Vera Juice; the brand was "George's" - they claim bitter constituents are removed, and absolutely no water added
And food-wise:
-Still absolutely no grains, not even gluten free ones. Been a bit hard, but I think it's doing me good.
-No seeds
-Not many nuts, mostly pecans I seem to do okay with, but my body tells me if I've had too many
-Lots of coconut products, which I love, but am trying to taper down - I think I might be a bit sensitive to them...?
-Still no concentrated sugars, except fresh fruit
-Many veggies
-Lots of fat
-Tried eggs once; no skin rash, hurray! But I did feel icky after. Will try again, away from other food, to determine if they're problematic
-Nearly all protein from red meat and fish. Feels easier on my stomach than nuts and beans!
-Tried Sauerkraut again, but didn't like how I felt
Thanks for all your suggestions. I haven't tried the Body Ecology Diet, but haven't put all fermented veggies out of my mind yet - just maybe not for now. There are some things I've yet to try.
Hopefully I'll get my saliva cortisol test soon. Based on the results and how I continue feeling, I'll decide or not upon other courses of action.
Take care everyone.
