I have very little understanding of the thyroid... Besides the basics. Dont get too discouraged. I’ve read where its taken some people as long as a year to start feeling effects. I don’t think anyone knows for sure... the effects vary greatly from person to person. When we take most vitamin & mineral supplements, we don’t feel any effects from those... so it would make sense that iodine would be the same. When I take iodine, sometimes I notice that I can go outside at night in 60 degree weather with shorts and a tshirt and I don’t shiver. normally I’m sensitive to cold. cloverbelle That’s exactly when it all started during the fasting. I can’t figure out whether the hair loss is from thyroid or a candida issue. During the fast my head got really itchy I use coconut oil and that took care of it. After I broke the fast I would notice a musky smell in my hair only after I shampooed it (really weird). You mentioned fasting, the only thing I can say is, I used to be able to fast, ... the first day I fasted about 8 months ago, gobs of my hair started to fall out and that’s when I realized something was wrong with my thyroid. I had never experienced anything like it. I did tons of research and realized people with thyroid issues should not fast. and until I get my body back on track, I will not fast. Not really, the thyroid thing is something that comes and go specially if its not an autoimmune. Re-reading your posts, it looks like you have more than just the problems with your uterus. Sleep problems, low energy levels, lymph swelling and feeling like crap. How about your digestive system function? Any issues there? This all suggests IIPS from the usual cause. For that Multi, the pantothenic acid (vit B5) is fairly high, higher than some multis but many of the B complex are fairly low if requirements are anything but normal. B5 is involved in adrenal function and demands can be high when the body is under any form of physical or emotional stress. You cannot just take a couple of B vits and expect everything to work correctly! That never worked for me! I kept getting goitre when I was taking the recommended B2 & B3, especially whenever my adrenal function increased, such as low blood sugar or when I got angry. The effect was very noticeable to me. That was a good article on selenium Grizz. The supplements that I might need to change Are the B vitamins. I’ve been taking a B complex from Thorne research lab. It doesn’t have the required amount of B2 or niacin. The vitamin D that I’m taking is A&D combo from nature’s sunshine it’s 10,000 IU A & 400 IU D of Fish oil. Have you tried liver flush? For how long? Considering the condition of your organs, you most likely need at least 6 to 10 liver flushes, over a time span of 5 months.
