And what might those "complex chemical reactions" be?

Ask anyone who makes olive oil based soap how much it has to be heated in order to harden. And if it has to be either:

1. Frozen
2. Heated

in order to create hardened masses, how does that differ from "complex chemical reactions"?

And...why does the "complex chemical reaction" stop happening when people have no more stones?

I eagerly await your answers.
