Hold you back from what, exactly?

Do you feel that if you attain a state of being resonant with innocence you will be able to stop any negative effects from your choices?

I dont believe that is a characteristic of this plane of existence, as even the innocent are subject to the laws of free will? However through the mass mind/infinity all things are possible. This is why I feel the answer lies in aligning yourself with others/with all.
