Re: Loquat...
Refreshed you said, "I read my bible and came to this conclusion on my own..."
Then show me where in the bible it says that we were born with an immortal soul, or even the concept of that?
If it's in there, then I should be able to read it too, no?
You said, I realize that when you say "...anymore than you can say...", that's just a figure of speech. But I want to reiterate that I did not say that we have God's attributes. We are talking about the Invisible God and being in His image. I thought it would be clear with me repeating that we are not the Holy Spirit when we have the indwelling as believers. Neither would we have His attributes just because He breathed His energized life into us."
Yes, but you seem to be arguing that we must have an immortal soul because God made us in his image. Otherwise, why bring up the point that we are made in the image of God at all (and imply that I don't believe that because I don't believe we inherently have an immortal soul) if it has no relevance to having an immortal soul which is what I thought we were debating.
You said, "The word "DIE" or "DEATH" is an appropriate word to use, as opposed to "LIFE". Everlasting Life vs Everlasting Death."
So do you think that someone that is alive today that is being tormented, should be described as dead?
"Well again, I'm not following what some other man said. You are the one that quotes men's sayings all the time."
Every time you post a video or an article or anything else other than directly from the bible, you are doing no different than me with posting quotes. For some reason I always get the stab with that one, when everyone that says that is doing the same thing. lol A little hypocritical, no?
It's fine to post videos, articles, quotes, and whatever else. But if whatever anyone is saying in any of these means of communicating contradicts what the bible says, then there is a problem that should be pointed out.
I was just making a point that Billy Graham says this, but the bible says that, and which are you going to believe. It was just an example, not saying you just believe whatever Billy Graham says.
But let me reword it since you didn't like how I said that. Are you going to believe what yourself says, that everyone has an immortal soul that cannot die, or are you going to believe what the bible says, that souls can certainly die?
