Re: Loquat...
My dad's not taking these things we just talked about literally. It's a joke. You told a joke, and so I told my dad's little silly joke.
But think about it. Why do we have all these physical problems in life that need tending to, teeth wearing out just one of the thousands of things that can go wrong? Well it's because we are perishable, right? We are mortal! So how can the wicked end up imperishable, and immortal, when that's only promised to believers?
And how can the wicked end up imperishable when it says they perish?
Well surely there is a contradiction there, no? Please explain how not.
You know Jesus said this, "And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell."
Well he wasn't telling the truth there if everyone received an immortal soul when they were created. How could God kill an immortal soul? That means it wasn't immortal then if he could do that. But Jesus says he can do that, and why was he saying that? Because that's exactly what's going to happen to the wicked. Both their body and soul is going to be killed in hell. Like smoke they are going to vanish away. It's going to be as if they never existed as Obadiah 1:16 says.
I'm not some super smart person by any means, but this stuff is just simple logic based on what the bible says.
So just in the simplest of terms you can muster, please explain to me how you think the wicked can be imperishable and yet perish at the same time? And how can God kill an immortal soul?
