Yes, I do realize my feelings about what motivates me more in these end times we live in is not what I would or should base the truth in. It's more of a comment that I believe that God is just as active today as He was in bible times. It doesn't seem right the way people make it sound that we are just sitting and waiting for God to do His part. It's not like He just left us with the Holy Spirit to spread the gospel and that's all there is. I think He is busy and active to keep our eyes open as He moves upon the body of Christ to do His will.
Without His presence, we would be less motivated like the 5 virgins that fell asleep and were not prepared...thinking that it was taking too long and that they had plenty of time to start worrying about getting more oil. That oil is more than just saying it's the indwelling of the Holy Spirit...it is also talking about being "filled" with the Holy Spirit. Without that filling we will not have our light shining bright and we will go dark. I don't know about you, but when it gets dark...I get sleepy. :)
