I understand. Thanks! L-forms recently are reported to be involved in cancer-inducing mutations. But I haven't made the link with other conditions.
Autoimmune disorders are generally speaking due to malfunction of the immune system, which causes and co-factors are multiple, including certain genetic types. Almost always, though, abnormal, undigested or foreign proteins are part of the process. A reason way it is important to keep that in mind when re-feeding.
Your intuition that fasting is quasi-universal mean to get the body into balance is right. I would add, healthy lifestyle/nutrition afterwards is not less important, since the opposite would surely negate the positive results from the fast.
