About balancing the bacterial issue i have found loads of great info on debugyourhealth.com. i would consider other parasites if your issues are not resolved after treating fungal and bacterial issues. Worms, protozoans are notorious and very common and usually herbals do not touch these infections. I’ve heard of people doing a do-it-yourself version, using a stool sample, water or saline, and an enema. I’m curious about that, since it seems so much easier and cheaper. The downside is that your donor isn’t necessarily thoroughly screened, but I’ve heard that they recommend using donors who are healthy children. Can anyone tell us more about how to do this yourself? Fecal transplant is becoming important treatment for reoccurring cdiff infections. From what i have seen on cdiff boards, important note , they are not using fecal donors form babies or children due to not having developed immune system. Also before they do the transplant they are put on very high doses of antibiotics to wipe the guts clean of flora as much as possible, then do the transplant which are done from top (upper endoscopically) or bottom (colonoscopically), ”from top” being more effective. Yes. I did HPI last year. I thought if I got an infusion of good bacteria from a healthy person then that might resolve my Candida related problems. Regretably, I did not notice any improvement in symptoms. It may work better for bacterial dysbiois, IBS and colitis. It is proven to work very well for resolving Clostridium difficile diarrhea. I might try it again, but only if I think I have pretty much wiped out the fungal Candida colonizing my bowel mucosa. On IBD forums I read of a man with ulcerative colitis who cured himself of his symptoms by taking his 1 year old baby’s poop, mixing it into an enema bottle and implanting himself with this.
