Can you take Slippery Elm Bark with Bentonite clay?

I have bowel problems, IBS, and want to start using Bentonite Clay. But, because I have IBSC, I don't want to end up with a blockage.

I also want to start using Slippery Elm Bark, and probiotics to try and get good flora going. I had an issue with laxatives for years, and I am sure my whole intestinal system is poisoned. Would it be best to use the Slippery Elm Bark for awhile before starting the Bentonite clay?

Some people use Bentonite clay and psyllium. Psyllium gives me heartburn, no matter how much water I drink. Can I use the Slippery Elm with the bentonite clay?

I am a 54 year old female, and am 212 pounds and have zero energy. I gave up trying to lose weight 2 years ago after my ex fiancé' dumped me. I was 136 pounds 6 years ago and had zero fat on my body, and worked out extensively daily till I tore my rotator cuff 3 times, 2 years apart. I did 300 crunches a day, just to brag a little. I have had 3 surgeries to repair the cuff,and gained 40 pounds while being laid up. I take Lisinopril 40 mg twice a day, and atorvastatin once a day. None of this was present before the weight gain.I have Barrett's Esophagus and GERD, and am on Omeprazole 40 mg once a day. I want to get off of that,and wish I had never started. My system is so screwed up. They thought I had gastroparasis, but I found out today I don't. It is a miracle and it woke me up. I was facing a feeding tube last week. So many people prayed for me, and I prayed for a miracle, and I got it. I am not going to screw it up. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou. Tweet
