My kid has severe dysbiosis, he can not cope with probiotics, some people do well on them but in my opinion if you have sibo keep away. If you have severe dysbiosis you may have sibo. The latest research from the Imperial college London states that some people do well on certain strains of probiotics, some they make no difference and some they cause pathogenic bacteria problems. There is a certain percentage of the population who can't tolerate probiotics at all, I believe it is about 15%. You should check out the Low and Slow method for introducing probiotics if you do decide to take them just in case of reaction, just google the low and slow method for introducing probiotics and you should be fine.
