Re: peeling lips (off topic)

I've had the same problem for about a two years now, maybe three, i can't remember when i first had the problem. Everybody tells me it's just a case of severe chapped lips. but i didn't think it would last this long. I was wondering if in most cases is it your guys' whole lip. Cuz with me it's just underneath the tip of my upper lip. It looks dug in and is of a different color than the rest of my lip. I've been able to live quite normally with it, it usually comes off after i shower, and leaves what looks like a normall lip, but when i try to let it heal, that's when it becomes visiable. I've never been too self conscious because i notice not too many people care about people with cold sores, which look worse. i'd like to read some feed back about people who've attempted to let it continue to heal. When ever i think of ways to not let liquids touch it, i think of one of the batman movies (sorry i'm not a huge batman fan) but i remember robin kiss poison ivy, which should have killed him but he had a coating or something that protects his lips, and i always thought about using something like that when eating or showering, and then taking it off afterwards. Probably wouldn't work, I just wanted to say what's in my mind.
