Wow, I'm really glad I found this forum. I've had this exact same problem for years and nobody even comes close to understanding it. I haven't found anything that has really helped. Using Carmex and other lip balm type products can be soothing, but all they really seemed to do was make the peeling of the skin gentler. Anytime the skin looks to be healing and doing well it just gets knocked back to square one after taking a shower or brushing my teeth. I'm going to keep trying to get them better, but it seems to me the key is keeping them from getting wet, which is extremely hard to do. Even if you can protect them in the shower, you can't when you brush your teeth.

Anyways, please let me know how you are all progressing with the condition, and I hope everyone is able to cure the problem soon. People don't seem to understand that one of the worse things about this problem is how noticeable it is by other people and how it effects your self esteem. Let me know how it goes for you all though.
