The problem with your theory is that the original poster probably got herself into her situation by being so understanding of poor him. We can feel sorry for him because of what happened to him to make him act this but she does not have to sacrifice her life for him and that is what happens with these kinds of people. She is not his therapist, let him go get help and work on himself. but she probably needs to get away from the way she is being treated. Who is understanding her? Is he? It doesn't sound like it. The other problem is she is being all sincere and loving towards him but not getting it in return.
