I have to say that I'm glad to hear that you are continuing with the GCG. I've also experienced the itching. But, I've always associated itching with healing (you know as a cut goes from painful to itching as the scab forms and the wound heals) and instinctively have welcomed it for I see it as a step above pain. It has been a sign of optimism for me. So after so much intense pain (a year of back pain followed by 8 weeks of gradually lessening gb pain), I welcomed the itch. And now, it also has gone away.
And I'm glad to hear you'll continue with the GCG. Even if you refuse to flush (and yes, a flush can be done w/o the Epsom Salts prior or afterwards), breaking down the stone will allow the gb to, over a longer period of time, squeeze a little sludge out with probably every meal until it resumes a healthy function.
And . . . um . . . I guess that would be Sister Skye. ;)
