Re: Difficult child destroying our marriage!

I am going through the same thing. I can't stand my step son. He is 10 yrs old and controls our lives to the point that my wife and I who are happily married are now separating because of it. He is a their,very abusive to mom and baby sister who is 7 yrs old. He lies and says teachers beat him so now schools are terrified to have him there. He even swung at a teacher a few times. Has swung on me before, thank God I'm patient and am earning a masters degree in behavioral disorders and human services. All I can say is that people like him are going to have a very hard life with trial and error, possibly even end up in prison for a good chunk of there lives. It's sad; but very true. We have done every type of therapy possible. This kids behavior has put such a wedge in our marriage that there's not much left of it. I feel like I'm letting my wife down and I'm terrified to leave the kid with her.. lost for words. Tweet
