Re: Cutaneous Larva Migrans / Hookworm

I am the person who knows I have worms, larvae and eggs or live births, something coming out from the pores/hair follicles on my head, from under my scalp, in my ears, eyes, nose, etc. I was treated by my Opthamologist, who happens to be the doctor who saw a parasite while examining my eyes, last week for yet another infection in my eyes. He specifically advised me that it has been almost three years that he has been treating my eyes and that while my cornea(s) were holding up at the present time, he did not feel it would be for much longer. He urged me again to seek medical care at UC Davis or UCLA. Two days after this visit I became seriously ill. I had a fever of 103, terrible headache and a stiff neck. I have never known such head pain, on the left side. I went to an urgent care and was put on an IV as I was dehydrated, Roceffen antibiotic, pain medication as I was diagnosed with Menningitis. Given Cipro Antibiotic and a medrol pack to follow up at home. After 9 days I am feeling much better, the amazing thing is that I have not been bothered with scalp or parasite issues, until tonight, my last dose of Cipro. I read up on Menningitis and there is a parasitic menningitis, a fungal and a bacterial. My eyes have had nothing crawling in them, been parasite free for 9 wonderful days. I was actually starting to believe that maybe the whole parasite thing was a bad dream. Tonight it is all back, all of it. Why did Roceffen work so completely? What does all this mean? It is just too much of a coincidence for me to understand. It was worth having Menningitis for these past nine days, I would go thru it all over again, every day, if I could. So sad I want to go to sleep and never wake up again.
