I hope you have found adequate medical help in the meantime but if not, you may have onchocerciasis. The life history of the organism you are describing is hauntingly similar to the CDC's description. Look it up on the search window on the CDC website. You should try to find an infectious disease doctor who specializes in tropical medicine and/or parasitology. Usually one in an academic setting is going to be the best choice. Barring that, you may call the CDC and try to get the Section on Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases for some guidance.
