Re: To be continued...

Well, Praise the Lord! I met my goal of nine days water-only fasting. Wow, was this ever an easy fast. The Lord is good. I was expecting to go through a lot of misery. Thank you Jesus for sparing me of that. The first day was a breeze. The second through sixth days I felt weak and tired so I slept through most of it. How easy is that? :)

During the end of the sixth day I started having short periods where I felt slight body aches. I thought, "Oh no! Here it comes. I am going to be in unbearable pain soon." That never happened. Instead the aching left quickly. These waves of slight pain continued through the ninth day. I did feel weak, but no periods of nausea etc. that one gets when water fasting. I was not bothered much with hunger or cravings either.

I took off work so I could rest. That made even the weakness not to be an issue. I tried to totally set aside the cares of life during this time and dedicate it to the Lord. I wonder how long I could have continued if I did not have to go back to work, but I do have to go back to work so I was forced to break it. :( I broke with liquids, of course. I am continuing on the fast with liquids so I can finish my time. All I can say is, "Thank you Jesus for first helping me get started on this fasting journey and then helping me through it. I love you Jesus. You, Jesus, are the Treasure that I seek with this fast."
