Re: Fasting Very Encouraging Testimony

Thank you for the song. It was a blessing to me at this time. I'm sure I will play this over and over as I continue on. I actually need the Lord every second. :) So far my resolve has been strong and things have been easy. My body is used to short fasts so the first few days are normally easy for me. This is the opposite of what others claim when they fast. I hear people say all the time that the first few days are the worst. For me things get harder as I go along. I believe it is because my body is used to short fasts. When I first started to fast many years ago it was hard for me too even on the first day.

I am not counting hours anymore. I will start to count days. I am well into my second day and I am still on water only. I want to stay on water only for as long as I can. I have to go back to work tomorrow so I am seeking the Lord on when He wants me to have something (non solid nourishment, of course) so that I can keep up the job.

The Lord sometimes asks us to do things that are not easy. I know He is calling me to fasting and prayer. I recently heard a testimony of a man that said when the Lord calls him to fast, he finds it easy, but when he tries to do it on his own he gets weak. I wish this were true for me, but I do not find it to be the case. Nevertheless, I know He will help me.
