Re: Update
Hi Rainy,
How is your fast unto the Lord going?! As you know i decided to join you but i'm stating this for other readers. I've been wanting to engage another fast since the last one ended about 16 days before this one started... excited about the prospects for additional breakthrough in the spirit... and haven't been quite ready, but seeing that you wanted to fast and that you were struggling provided the necessary added motivation. I actually had originally hoped to jump back in within 7 days of ending the previous one, even making it to 22 hours at the 6 day point before letting it go. So i say again that i wasn't quite ready :). I am 2.5 days into this one and so far it is going well.
Taking it a day (or a moment) at a time and hope now to reach at least 3 days dry, a goal that i am looking pretty good to reach since there are no signs of dehydration just yet and thirst has remained relatively calm. I will likely go as long as possible until thirst becomes too strong or until i receive a word from God that it's time to stop, should i receive such a word... whichever comes first :).
There was some light nausea upon awakening this morning which has persisted until the present moment, but it seems to be passing little by little. Regardless, I just poured myself into things of the Lord which is what i was going to do anyway. Primarily this is a blessing in itself and secondarily i believe it helped in soothing the discomfort.
In whatever dry fasting i have done to this point, the very longest has been 4 days... I had moderate and persisting thirst for a day or so leading towards this and transitioned into a stronger, more uncomfortable level of thirst at which point i stopped. Since then i have encountered a similar level thirst at just 2 and 2.9 days, stopping there, so it's hard to predict how long before intense thirst will arise this time.
