Thanks for the update. I was wondering how you have been doing. I knew you were planning another dry fast soon and didn't know where you stood with it.

I keep wanting to go back in sooner, but end up waiting about a month between fasts.  Let us see where the Lord leads me this time :).  Eating and drinking are so nice, but wow what amazing benefits can be encountered when seeking the Lord God in their absence. 

Five days with no water is amazing. In fact, I really think it is beyond my comprehension!

I tell you the truth, it was beyond mine too not a year ago.  Only with practice has my body become better able to manage this and so too could yours if this was ever your wish : ).

I do know that you were drinking the living water instead.

Yes, this really really helped and i was enjoying His flesh too : ).

What an awesome experience that must have been. It is good news about the spiritual breakthrough too. I am excited for you. I hope the Lord will lead you to share more with us when the timing is right, of course. People like me need the motivation.

What has been the most noticeable and awesome thing is worship time.  I went to a church on saturday night and was so richly blessed by 2 songs in particular, one being the revelation song (Kari Jobe) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2zEmtZS6zk&feature=BFa&list=PL588DC6496863A8A0&lf=plpp_video , and i might add that this excellent worship team sounded just like her.  This was at about 4.7 days.  Worshipping during this song, I was feeling the presence of the Holy Spirit and Joy.  The next day i was playing something on guitar in a new and different way and felt the same thing.  Each time i played this one song in particular the Holy Spirit would bubble up within me and He would bring the Joy.  Then I woke up this morning to a worship song "You won't relent", Jesus Culture: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gEJnePjJZaM&list=PL588DC6496863A8A0&index=6&feature=plpp_video ... and the same thing.  Then the same thing on guitar again :).

And you as well.  Knowing that you are fasting is helping me too ;). 

I guess I'm really intermittent too, especially now, since I am more on what is considered a Daniel Fast on my non water fasting days. You and I both know that is not a real fast, but it is a form of self denial which I really need right now. I also know that the Lord does honor such forms of self denial.

My version of intermittent included a whole lot of anything i wanted, so your sacrifice is definitely awesome and i agree that the Lord will absolutely honor it.  


Sometimes I wonder if I will ever get to the level you are with all this stuff.

From my perspective you seem to be right there.  You have made a lot more sacrifice than me in the past 45 days.  One advantage i have had is a light workload and a lot of time to dive into the things of the Lord.  Sowing to the Spirit in 90% of my free time coupled with Lots of free time has been a really crucial part of this for me.

You have been a great example and motivator for me. I wish I knew the words to express to you how much I really do appreciate you. May God bless you richly and may this fast be the best yet for you in regards to spiritual breakthroughs. :)

Wow, such kind words, thank you :).  It has been a blessing for me too knowing that you are fasting whenever i jump in.

I pray these verses will truly be your experience. I fully believe that they are yours as you continue to seek the Lord with everything you have. Also, I fully believe that these verses are part of the God breathed Holy Scriptures.

Thank you and i wish the same for you.  Whatever happens next i pray that we would be good stewards with what we are given that He might in his grace give more... and that any hint of pride or flesh be crucified along the way.
