Thank you Johnny for coming here and sharing, you are a wonderful brother to Ed and Ed is a wonderful brother to you, your son and family. I see him as a man on fire for the Lord and he is going beyond just looking for success for himself, but is seeking healing for others. That's pretty powerful in my thinking.
I do not see him as proud....more confident in what the Lord is doing in his life. I also believe like Chette that we can go to the Lord and He will show us a way to deal with our everyday lives, if we just believe and seek the answers.....they are there for each one of us to receive....we just have to really know and believe that God is involved in the small mundane things of our lives. Heck I even pray for parking spots when I'm driving....why doubt?
Now, many people around here are not going to understand certain aspects of what Ed has shared. People do love their bibles but I don't believe that they love it more than Jesus. Now I don't know if I'm understanding certain people right or not, but if anyone is saying that the bible is just milk....I just don't agree on that point. There is much milk to sup on in the bible and it's true... it is only a book....nothing really special about it until..... when the reader, seeking God's face, will receive the supernatural benefits of those words, when he believes. The Living God comes through the words of the pages of the bible and thus starts the journey to glory we all wish to travel. It is truly our road map and the Holy Spirit is our guide.
I believe all true Christians have the Holy Spirit (and I have explained before) it's a matter of how full or how empty of the Spirit they allow themselves to be. Ed seems to be going for the full measure.
