Ok, got it. Nothing I have seen before, it does not match the typical features of a parasite (let me know if you want details). Parasites would take some time to mature, so try to fit the timeframe from ingestion to release. Bacteria, fungal/yeast and of course parasites can cause the inflammation you are having. I did try dhea when my cortisol was HIGH b/c I was told that dhea might lower my cortisol. I don’t know why dr thought that but then again it was a conventional dr. Hi all, I’m brand new to this forum, so please direct me to any material/info which you think may benefit me with my issue. My issue is, I have a fruit intolerance, so things like honey and coconut oil make me sick, tho less sick than not being on the SCD. To start, i’ve been on the SCD diet for about 2 months now. I started by just removing the ’illegal’ foods, but after 2 weeks, went back and started again with the intro diet. I’m still doing the staged introduction found on peacanbread.com. In December 2012 I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis pancolitis and I have been on SCD ever since because I believe in the power of diet to cure disease... When I was first diagnosed I was put on prednisone and that had me basically all fixed up within a few days. Thank you Jeremiah. Will you post your email so I can email you questions. I have morgellons as well. My doctor said it was a titanium dioxide and silica over load. I have run out of money for medication. Do you suggest anything that worked for you? As far as food what do you make? Chicken, steamed broccoli, zucchini? I just need ideas running out of food to eat and get lazy and eat pizza which makes it really bad. I drink a lot of synergy gt kombucha. Do you think that stuff is good? I have been using this with my son and I have to add that a lot of people will need extra magnesium for this to work. It’s just that some people have magnesium in their water and others don’t and the ones who don’t will need to take it as a supplement. Hi, I’m new to this forum and wondered if anyone could help me. I’ve had IBS for 10 years and have had an especially awful flare up (gas, bloating, mainly constipation but some diarrhea) over the past year. I started the SCD diet 30 days ago and have been very strict on it. However, I’m having real trouble adding in any new foods. I can tolerate grape juice jelly, spinach, most meats and chicken/chicken soup but whenever I add in anything else my symptoms get worse. Has anyone else had this problem? Vitamin D is essential for anyone with IBD. Get your blood tested and take up to 20,000 IUs a day until it reaches at least 50ng/ml. you can go up to up 80 or 90ng/ml with enough magnesium in your diet. You may have to take magnesium becasue conversion of D into active form requires it and if there isn’t enough it won’t be utilized. Green juices are good for that, as are chelated magnesium tablets (bisglycinate).   [End]

I posted a message a few days ago, asking for help getting through a flare, and never got any replies...guess I’m impatient. I feel like I’m following the diet strictly, and not showing any improvement...not getting any worse either. I’m feeling achy and tired. Are there any supplements I should be taking that might help. I was diagnosed with UC about 10 years ago. I’ve been on the SCD diet off and on during that time. During that time, I’ve probably had 3-4 flares. I’ve been going through one right now for about a month. It’s not getting any worse, but not getting much better. I did the intro diet for a couple days, eating the SCD yogurt, and following the diet. I have never taken any supplements, but I’m now considering it. I make the SCD yogurt. A yogurt maker was hard to find for some reason . I ended up buying one from Sears. Anyhow, this one has a big tub it is easier, faster to clean up, easier to store in the fridge plus you can make more. I think the jars are great if you have kids and/or if you have time and like a project in the kitchen. My yogurt maker is big plastic tub inside a larger matching plastic warmer. It has a lid then it another clear plastic lid. since I avoid using plastic my ND told me stay away from all plastics. So now I use a wide mouth glass Mason jar that works perfect ...

So theres this new diet ive got into recently. It’s somewhat like paleo but not. The diet focuses on healing the root cause of majority of diseases which start in a unbalanced gut. Which makes sense, our guts contain trillions of bacteria and its easy for this to be disturbed with antibiotics, fast food, environmental pollution. The reason i talk about this diet is because not only does it help with candida but it helps heal peoples leaky gut. Great post! I too was on a lot of meds before undergoing a complete diet and detox overhaul that has healed me 100%. I now don’t take any drugs or vitamins although I take several food supplements like kelp, bee polen, etc. Raw paleo is great. It’s awesome that you found what works so well for you. :)   [End]

Some good smooth ones are: Krema 365 (from whole foods) Mara natha has some that are scd legal. Check vitacost.com if your grocery store doesnt have them Also, some people do better to avoid peanut butter for a while and add it in when your digestion has improved somewhat.   [End]

Hi Guys, I have had bloating, constipation and many other issues for a while now but I have developed a new symptom recently. Orangey/red stool. Now the strange thing is it doesn’t look like blood, it shouldn’t be fast transit time as I typically go once every 6 days and I don’t think it is a bile salt deficiency as I have taken super enzymes, etc before and they didn’t help.
