Newbie to yogurt making

1st attempt came out great. Followed video instructions exactly "Make SCD Yogurt" with Erin.

2nd attempt tonight with multitasking.... milk warmed up to 200? maybe slightly more? before i came back to it, burned bottom of pot, forgot to cool it down to 110-113, added to starter, stirred it while cooling in water bath(sink). Cooled to 110, then decided to add a dollop of starter, in case the over-warmed milk added to the first 1/2 cup may have rendered it "unfriendly"?
Thoughts? I know throwing it out and starting over following instructions exactly will give me correct SCD yogurt..
will wait and see if its edible/good
Possible I "saved" it ?
Thanks!
