The juice is a kind of fasting. I don’t think it’s beneficial to do water fasts because you need the nutrients, and the anti-inflammatory properties of the juice is very important for healing. You actualy don’t really need extra vitamins with the green juice as it is packed with nutrients. That may be because the juice is cold. I do often heat my juice a little so it’s warm in cold weather or if it’s made from refrigerated veg. I wouldn’t boil it, but you could bring it to near boiling point for a short time. Try just heating it a little and see if that helps, or maybe use less greens if they are a problem, but since they are the most nutritious part, you need to get as much as you can. Soluble fibre apparently has a protective mechanism for the gut as it forms a glupey substance when it absorbs water. The whole body needs iodine and the immune system uses it. I believe most people are deficient enough to cause significant health problems. From reading the abstract it is not clear if there is really a deficiency. Chronic stress, such as from pain, can cause thyroid hormone levels to rise, which would lock up more of the iodine in the system. This is not really a deficiency, but rather a mobilization of the iodine. In the second article there is a statement that the thyroid regulates adrenal function. I got my MMS from PGL international http://www.miraclemineral.org/suppliers.php MMS could be used with iodine if the iodine is only a at low supplemental dose but I would use them separately otherwise. That’s the thing that sucks with this disease. There is no one remedy. Everyone responds to different things. What works for one may not work for others so just keep trying some of the stuff posted here. You could look into fecal transfusion also. Some people have had some good success with it. You may want to just stick it out with sheldons approach for awhile too. There is nothing in there that should cause more bleeding. Are you taking any medicine now, steroid or NSAIDs? Take a look at Amatos posts and testimony. I did what he did more or less and got very good results with it. Yesterday was the fifth day with the enema also we introduced brown rice yesterday too. Based on Asacol (2 tab 3x) and enema (at bedtime) he was getting better reults, almost no visible blood. But today he not only had a lot of blood in stool but we also see vitamin E in the toilet along with the stool. Any thoughts, please advise. Thanks for your help   [End]

Sheldon, The message from Issue 54 marked as BSA says the following for the vitamins:One multi vitamin & mineral capsule and one 500-mg. vitamin C (ester C is best),one 400 IU vitamin E ,and one 200 mcg selenium,one vitamin K capsule every day. I found all the vitamins except vitamin K which i thought is potassium. That’s why i was wondering if you could advise me what compund of potassium it is as i was unable to find it at pharmacies.
