Re: Playing fair with others - wonderful people

You people are so wonderful. I don't know what you call it "Tough love?" And then you turn around and offer all this help. Wow!!!

I swear I'm going to do averything in my power to make this relationship work. I'm going to knock his socks off. It feels sooooo good to finally have some answers. To know I'm not alone in the world.

I've already taken a close look at how I was raised. Mom didn't love Dad. Sabotoged even his dinner. She didn't like him. Why I don't know, because he's such a peach of a guy. He gave us kids (3) a great childhood, nice home, camping every year, highschool activities, lots of fun whatever we did. But Mom didn't like it. She was always the stick in the mud. I learned to cook because Mom was so bad at it. She wanted to ruin Dads dinner. Oh-oh looks like I turned into my mother. It can't be that simple.

Thanks again for all the answers and support. The only thing I can promise is that I'll do my best. I'll look squarely at me and hope I can have some of the beauty and real love you folks talk about. It's exciting. Whoa, that's the first time I've had that feeling in years...

PS. My chiropractor has a stack of that Roosevelt quote in his office so people can take one.
