Re: OT makes me wonder
Your post makes me wonder how the astronauts
who live in the space station for months on
end deal with their sex drives??
Risk-takers, and I admit to being one, will
go out on a ledge just to feel what the night
air feels like on their ass....
Modern day disease has the most sobering effect
on my sexuality. I very much enjoy being a
woman though and so its enough that I own
that aspect of my being and appreciate it in
others who are comfortable with their sexuality.
I think that people's sexuality is determined
by their DNA, as evidenced by children who have
been raised as one sex rather than another due
to genitalia being malformed as not to be able
to be determined at birth, but then when they are
older, they "know" what they are. All the social
conditioning and pressure cannot hide the sexuality
assigned to them by DNA.
I suppose, down the road, tweaking the DNA could
have any number of effects on one's sexuality.
I appreciate living in the hey day when, for
the most part, sexuality is still raw, and mysterious
and instead of clinging to robots much like the
orphaned monkey will cling to a cloth mother
substitute, the craving for intimacy inspires
me to relate to real breathing people...
If you want to have a taste of what it would feel
like to express your sexuality with artifical
intelligence, try chatting it up with a computer
who wants to be human-like for awhile...it is
not a substitute for the connection most humans
need to thrive~~
