Re: No bread for your consideration

Marnie...I'm a christian and have candida overgrowth. I have found, in the bible, that the foods they had back then was very simple (less is more) and the wheat they grew was natural wheat that bent on the top when it was ready. However, our entire wheat chaff falls over in weight and doesn't bend over on the top naturally. I don't know if I'm making sense, the bottom line is. Wheat is not the same as it was back then. People also didn't have to deal with the burden of the foods/snacks/candy that we have in our time and age. They were able to be healthy and flush foods out much more easily than we are.

I think bread is fine for those who are HEALTHY but for us folks I think bread should be eliminated OR limited UNTIL we are healthy and can digest it much better and pass it without any problems. For me, I am going to start making buckwheat and continue with my diet of vegetables and supplements.

The only BIG comfort I have all through this... is.... what's 3 years of my life doing this diet which would add 20 or even 30 plus years to my life? I know in couple of years I'll be able to eat whatever I want (reasonably) and have no digestive problems. Even 6 months of my life is NOTHING compared to what I can give myself and to my children and grandchildren in the future. I am only 28 and have suffered horribly from illness.

God Bless
Julie Ann
