Re: Mirena - another go might be different

Just a note that the insertion may differ with the skill of the doctor and the timing. I got a mirena last year, it was extremely painful but I had a breakfast and voltaren and he got it in ok. Then a few months later I got it taken out bc of non-stop bleeding - yes very effective contraception.
THEN... I realised I hate the pill and ditto for periods. So spent another couple of hundred dollars trying the mirena again. This time it was a Jack The Ripper Experience, so painful the doctor stopped trying bc I was crying and screaming so badly.
I finally got it put in on another occasion under anastethic. And this time no bleeding, contrary to last year. Makes me wonder if the bleeding is due to an incorrect position that gets corrected with some people with time?
Anyway, I checked this site wondering about Depression .. could it be due to Mirena? Most people have seemed to indicate not?
