Re: Mirena IUD and depression?

All I am going to say is this to all of you that are considering hormonal birth control. Hormones are extremely influential on your mood. I suffered from sever Depression for three months before realizing that it might have to do with being on Allesse, a "low-dose) birth control pill. After stopping the pill I bagan to make my recovery. BUT, I am still recovering after three months off of it. I have talked to many, many women who have gotten Depression and anxiety from birth control methods that mess with your hormones. I, personally, am looking into get the copper IUD which does not have hormones, or the cervical cap. Believe me, it is not worth messing with your hormones. Try looking on the internet for the stuff that I am talking about, you will find some interesting findings. (ie: Vitamin B depletion, etc.)
