Re: thanks for the reply
I thank God everyday that I found Islam. Every waking hour.
I have the truth for me, but if you and others insist it can't be the same God, then I wont argue with you.
One has to realize though, this relgion did not happen from some strange land, but the land Abraham had travelled to and built the House of Worship with his first born son Ismael. This is the Kaaba, the first house of worship ignored by Christians and Jews, partly because they dont know about it. This is not a passing religion or just a cult, but the same message God has given since He created Adam. I have found all the answers I need, and am constantly amazed every single day and learn so much with every day blessed here on earth.
The main point that divide us is the Divinity of Jesus.
So if you worship Jesus that you believe died for the sins of the rest of Gods creation, then you worship a man that has died, and has been believed to have been risen. So you are right saying it may be a different God- because we worship not Jesus but the one Who sent him. I hope I didnt offend you- it is something very personal and I dont want to insult you or make you feel angry or get a raised pulse. I just want you to know I pray to the One God who Jesus has said no one had ever heard His voice or seen His form at any time and the One he prostrated to as recorded in Matthew.
We hold that he was a Holy Prophet and was sent to the children of Israel to guide them after they strayed from Moses guidance ( that God is ONE, yet after being rescued from Pharoah, Moses went up to get the Law, they constructed a golden calf to worship instead and they were punished ). Then was lifted to Heaven and will come again and Muslims and Christians will follow him and peace will reign on earth for a time.
So yes Jesus commanded his followers to pray, and to fast and to give charity ( sermon of the mount ) And so has m'hammed but we believe this is from God, not from them personally. Of course deeds are nothing without faith.
Thanks. Please have a good day. ( take care )
