So you raise little bible-bots...

Ooooo-kay... ;0)

Listen, you believe you are born a sinner, (someone else on this forum said they were a filthy rag). Born in sin, and shame. The flesh is sinful/shameful/evil, you are lowly sinners.. yada yada yada

I'm surprised you guys don't still go around flagellating yourselves like they did in the middle ages. Or wearing hair shirts to prove your piety.

Sorry, I am getting a bit snide here.

I have always maintained anyone is free to believe what the wish, however that doesn't mean I won't take issue when my experience indicates the opposite....

YOU have to go outside yourself to find God. I find God within. You have to find God in a book. I find God in all I see, all I do... in all I touch and all that touches me.

You need rules and regulations that are thousands of years old and for the most part, woefully out of date. I find my answers in the moment, and it is eternal....

Where do I get my inspiration? I read and I study. The ancient writings and ancient teachings of all faiths are simply the history of what 'worked' for earlier generations in different times and different lands. They are guidelines at best, simply signposts to different paths taken in the quest for God. I have studied many different ones.

There are many 'words of God' (to use the colloquial) in this world that are valid, and many ways to God to be found.

If you are happy with your 'word' and 'way', great. But it is not exclusve. And, nobody is spiritually dead. It is impossible. The flame may denied, may be sputtering or may be to low to even see ... but we are all children of God and God, in some way, is within us all.
