You said “what did you think about my comments regarding the corraberative aspect of the story regarding jesus' instructions?”
I think you make a very good point and the evidence does seem to fit the instructions Jesus gave for carrying the Gospel. My initial thought was…hmmmm 3 wise men?
Is it possible that the 3 wise men where in fact from this area in China and that they followed the signs all the way to Jesus’ birth place? Then upon seeing all that they saw they returned to their home region of China and recorded what they had seen. The idea that they had the wealth to present gifts like gold implies that they would certainly have the wealth to commission the images of what they saw. Considering the style of the carvings they may have been commissioned while still in the Middle East and transported all the way back to China. Just speculation of course but it could be a possibility. I would be very interested in knowing more about the religious traditions of the people in the area where the stones were found and if their traditions differ from greatly from the rest of China.
