Re: BED week 3 - profound fatigue, weight loss--looking for suggestions
Having surveyed three friends who've tried the body ecology diet, here's some more interesting information I've found:
All three became profoundly weak and to some degree non-functional for the first month or two of the diet.
Two of three people (did not survey third person on this question) found themselves modifying the diet significantly out of desperation to get more energy--e.g. eating a higher proportion of nuts, proteins, oils and/or carbs than the diet calls for (relative to non-starchy greens).
None of the three felt that the diet provided adequate energy to sustain them long term. One quit after one month, one quit after two months, one quit after four months.
The people who were on the diet for two and four months respectively felt that they had very significant health improvements as a result of the diet.
While both of the longer term dieters felt the diet was a valuable healing aid, both of these people also felt that they had to resume a diet that felt more balanced to them in order to function normally.
