Thanks to all those who have responded. I'd love it if those of you who are trying the diet posted notices again at some point when you feel like you've gotten some sort of results one way or another and tell what happened.
I started the diet because I have a friend who felt she got profound results from the diet. She was on it four months. She got very skinny and weak for a a good deal of that time and got stronger toward the end. Heart arrythmias and mental fogginess that she'd been having disappeared and a condition of ongoing gas was relieved. Eventually her diet shifted back to eating simple carbs and sugars again along with the healthier stuff,and now 3 or 4 years later her heart arrythmias and mental fogginess have reappeared. She says she's not sure she would do the diet again in such a strict way but she thinks she may do a modified form where she cuts out the "no-brainers" like Sugar and simple carbs.
