Re: BED week 3 - profound fatigue, weight loss--looking for suggestions

Hi Brandon,
Good to hear from you--I'm actually outside Philly; I'm envious of being Atlanta--isn't there a Body Ecology restaurant somewhere down there? Anyhow, I was thinking about what you wrote; I think the best solution (in terms of weight/muscle loss) is probably to eat 4 or 5 meals instead of overeating at meals. I've done that a couple times and it made me feel sluggish--I think because it puts too big a strain on the liver and digestive system. My real problem with this diet is the expense both in money and time trying to prepare all the right foods.

Anyhow, if you can, you should eat your heaviest proteins in the middle of the day (maybe in the morning as well if you work out first thing)(remember I'm not a nutritionist; this is just based on my experience so far). But also be patient with yourself; I've just finished my 7th week on the diet and am only beginning to be able to do the lifting/cardio I was doing before. So just accept that part of this program is a detox and you have to be patient as your body heals; (hopefully) you'll be better off in the long run! I definitely feel like I have more mental clarity the more I follow the type O directions (at this point, I'm staying away from grains entirely); so it's probably beneficial for your school stuff. Good luck and keep me posted!
