Re: The Library in Heaven

Dear fsnaturelady,
Great to see your response and to learn of your opinions.
May I respond by answering each of your paragraphs one by one?
Para.1. I believe you are absolutely spot on.
Para.2. (a)It's absolutely true that not everyone lives by the Bible. However, are you aware that all religions stem from the one true God and that things really went off the rails from the time of the Babylonian civilization? (b)If the 'guidelines for living here' have become 'fuzzy', then that quite clearly highlights the fact that people have chosen to disregard the actual guidelines clearly described in God's word, choosing to claim that the Bible itself is at fault. (c)As for the various religions being used to control people that, too, is true, nevertheless, it does nothing to disprove the sincerity of those various religions that are being manipulated. Sadly, people are very quick to throw the baby out with the bathwater once they see a difficult passage to read or find it hard to accept certain points. If there's an easy way out, most people will take it. (d)Reincarnation is the pagan equivalent of Resurrection and, again, represents another 'easy way out'. In reincarnation, everyone, whether good and bad, is reborn to have another go at life or whatever. Resurrection, on the other hand, separates the good from the bad and the true from the false. To choose 'good' and 'truth' requires commitment, dedication and faith, as well as making a choice between eternal life and eternal death. (e)The philosophy of treating others as you would like to be treated is a Bible expression. Does this mean we can pick and choose whatever pleases us from all the various religions? Wouldn't this be the same as creating our own religion?
Para.3. This is pure hearsay and wouldn't get past first base even in today's corrupt court system!
Para.4. Is there anything to substantiate this?
Para.5. This is still speculation unless substantiated.
Para.6. (a)Agreed - the Bible doesn't explain everything. To do so would probably require a million volumes so it basically only states what is necessary for salvation. (b)Agreed, we have the POTENTIAL to be far greater than we appear to be since, as the Bible states, we were (originally) made in God's likeness. (c)Small amendment - we're comprised of body, soul and spirit.
Para.7. There is no evidence, physical or otherwise that I'm aware of, that astral travel or NDE are factual whereas history, archeology and prophesy all confirm facts contained in the Bible.
Para.8. Doctors who are not trained in health or wellness can hardly be compared to scientists who study the function, operation and capacity of tissues relevant to whether that tissue is alive or dead. Isn't it like saying that because someone can drive a car then they must know how the engine works? Drivers are not necessarily mechanics.
Para.9. I may just do that but I won't be half as surprised as you would be if you understood what God wants you to know.
Thanks for this opportunity to write to you.
Cheers,
Gee.
