Vitamin C is used in Biologic Dentistry because it binds to mercury and carries stray mercury out of the body, not because it is an antioxidant.  Dr Morales told me this. 

There is no such thing as a definition of chelation of mercury that "we use here".  I only refer to the scientific known definition of chelation.  The University of Michigan defined the term chelation and listed what the chelators of mercury were, one of which was vitamin C.
