i have an email from hal and he told me he is against dmsa. now, he may have given in to those newly marketed low doses. until i get another email saying he now believes in it, i will continue to advise all our patients against it. for many many years now, he was adamently against DMSA and DMPS, and really didn't care for EDTA because he says it does not work for mercury. he used to use DMPS and DMSA at one point. he told me he has seen too many horror stories. but, things change and maybe he doesn't feel patients are sticking by regular chelation enough. maybe the drug companies who market these very small doses were able to persuade him. there may be money involved. i don't know what the reasoning is for the change, but i will need to talk to hal and see why he changed his mind and see if i think it is a scientific reason before i will change our protocol.
there is a chelation debate forum for those who who want to debate chelation techniques.
