Re: 7-year-old daughter
patient (add here co uk) /health/adrenarche (had the www I don't have a long enough posting history and really want to share this reassuring article with you, I actually signed in just for that purpose lol)
It is usually ok and "normal", I found that a low
Sugar diet also somewhat helps (when sugary foods are eaten here comes the crankiness and odor, at times where we watch the GI/sugar load, her sweat often doesn't even smell after sports), my feeling/guess is that sugar/insulin plays a role regarding the androgens levels but maybe not (sugar makes kids hype and cranky anyways lol), exercising does my kid good too. Soy made absolutely no difference (and I read it could actually slow down puberty so well, but maybe it could unbalance things in some people ?) but
Sugar and fats did.
So my advice would be relax, go low GI and low glycemic load, avoid bad fats, get her plenty of veggies and healthy foods.
I know how we freak out, but it should be ok.
