Re: Forty-Day Water Fast
Your are more than welcome Ny,
I do so very strongly empathize with your experiences and the reason I try and respond as quickly as possible.
I did not have the benefit of anyone to support me and the caring and encouragement that I really needed and longed for, but only the books I had from Shelton, DeVries, Carrington and Bragg as inspiration, so it is because of that experience that I offer my undivided support.
My first fast was very similar with elimination crises for the whole of its length, such as a "spitting crisis" which stained a book I had by Shelton, and still have that same hardback copy to this very day.
I think all fasting supervisors would agree and
Shelton told of this in his about food combining (amongst others) that it is best to fast away from family and friends if at all possible: they can instill uncertainties and even fear which creates undue stress.........the very worst experience on a water-fast.
I was lucky, because my late parents were quite indifferent and had no opinion one way or the other.........they just let me get on with it. It's your life they said: you are going to die anyway because of advanced Leukemia, so do what you think is best. The only anger they had was because I went against medical advice.
Peaceful and tranquil surroundings/environment are essential for anyone undergoing a prolonged fast, unless they have the support of family and friends; this is rare I would say because of time/financial-issues and ignorance, respectively.
I know it is difficult and probably impractical, but I would try and divorce yourself from the day to day running and activities of your household. Rest: physically/mentally/emotionally are essential.
A successful outcome may depend on it.
However, you have my full support, and perhaps a cyberspace shoulder to cry on, as this is exactly what this forum is about.
HR is fine it will fluctuate with stress and disturbances but in ideal rest conditions will steady down to approx' 60 bpm
Your current HR is 94 and BP is 106/75......good: that is fine.
Any further black specks in your vomit though?
