Re: Fasting versus eating for weight loss, "descent before touchdown"
Hi Luvjoy,
He he he, yes it is easy to slip. That's why I always hated diets, because you are always hungry and wanting food, then you can loose everything that you strived for quickly.
I think the difference this time is that I like what I am eating and can eat lots of it, and that I admit is partly down the the appetite resetting experience of my first fast back in 2007. Before on diets I was a reluctant lettuce eater, now I am gorging away at delicious fresh fruit and vegetables that I enjoy. Now I have discovered the logic behind Eat to Live since January this year, I have refined that healthy eating.
You are doing great too, the thing is you are filling up your body with great food so if you do decide to do a fast, you will have plenty of good nutrients that your body can put to good use. Or you could increase your metabolism by increasing exercise, that will work too.
Now several years ago I tried replacing milk with soya milk, yuk! It went straight in the bin. This time I could hardly taste the difference, and actually enjoyed the soya milk because I knew it was good for me. I also used to love cheese, Danish blue, Camembert, strong cheddar, but I haven't even thought about it lately. But I think it does take time, and you haven't been doing it for that long, so be patient.
And yeah olives. I may go get some now actually, he he. but I'll be sure to go to the gym to make up for it, and I think I will be a bit more strict from Tuesday. Maybe anyway.
