Food Combining Principles, Food pulverizing, Chrisb1 :)

I love the idea of eating raw kale in such a way as to not be able to taste it... and as such i would love to be able to embrace great tasting green smoothies as a daily habit.  But i have always read that fruit and vegetables should not be mixed in the same meal (fruit should be taken on an empty stomach and be out of the stomach before introducing your next meal).

Not the food combining link i was looking for, but it should suffice: http://www.healthywaymagazine.com/issue29/03_food_combining.html

"Fruit should be treated with great respect and eaten either 20 minutes before any other food or at least three hours after a meal. The easiest and best time to eat fruit is first thing in the morning for breakfast, when it will be digested more rapidly, putting no strain on the body’s system when other activities such as elimination are taking place."

Is this key food combining principle over written when everything is blended to a pulp... ie: does the pulverized vegetable/fruit mixture become as easily digested as fruits in that instance, all but bypassing the stomach and going strait into the intestines for assimilation and therefore not inviting the complications normally brought forth by combining fruit with other foods?

Just checking too, i remember reading something about juicing (which i realize is different) that said something to the effect that if you send it through at too high a speed it somehow damages the integrity of the juice (the enzymes i believe, something i am particularly concerned with preserving)... Is this true of juicing...  and also is there a similar parallel in high speed blending?

If high speed blending protects the nutritional integrity  of the produce and if it's perfectly ok and indeed quite optimal to combine fruits with vegetables, i am going to rush off and buy Marie's super blender : ).
