Re: Getting used to it now, but a couple of suggestions (edit)
I guess people will have different requirements, but I was thinking maybe have a folder called "notifications" or something that the [NEW] message alerts drop into. I am assuming you can filter these, by the sender, message header or something.
I don't mind the pop-up message, but maybe this could be made optional in preferences or whatever at some stage.
I would be nice if I was not notified of my own new messages even straight after I posted them. I understand how this will take a bit of work to filter, but the extra mouse clicks reminds me of Windows Vista!
It would be cool if you could truncate longer headings to include the poster's curezone ID at the end. This works fine with shorter headings. A minor point though, which I understand would be very difficult to implement if you do not have a limit on the character string length of the user ID!
You might want to get moderator good and bad message alerts sent from a different server, if at all possible.
It's good to have notifications back. I am on gmail and my last message was 12th March. Thanks for all the work in making the changes :)
(edit)
for this one I got:
"[NEW] Re: Getting used to it now, but a couple of suggestions.... by mou..."
I see the pop-ups have gone, that's fine, don't mind either way. The animated gif is quite effective :)
